Cup characteristics: Wildflower Honey, Mixed berry compote, Pink lemonade
The team at Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters are proud to present a limited time, special release coffee that we’re all super excited about: El Salvador - Finca Montevideo.
A chance meeting at SF Coffee fest with El Salvadoran farm owner Alberto Guirola has led us on a long journey to secure this direct trade coffee. Sustainable relationships with producers are a cornerstone of Chocolate Fish, and we’re elated to be working directly with the Guirola Family, located on the picturesque Volcano of San Salvador.
On our first cupping of this Natural Anaerobic Pacamara, we knew that we had something special. From the sweet aroma of wildflower honey in the grounds, to the deep and complex mix of berries, culminating in an experience akin to drinking a juicy pink lemonade; we knew we had to share this with you all.
In operation since 1886, Finca Montevideo spans a shared area of 154 hectares with sister plantation Finca San Agustin. Varieties of Bourbon, Pacamara and Geisha flourish in the nutrient-rich volcanic soil, supported by a team dedicated to meticulous care. Driven by a commitment to excellence, sustainable practices and the well-fare of their workforce and local community; we believe this coffee showcases the Guirola Family’s unwavering dedication to quality.
